Reducing stress
Your child goes through a stressful time at school, its important that you allow
him/her to relax at home and with the family.

Enjoying life after class
Your child goes through negative times 5 days week, so during the weekend
it’s should b e a time to enjoy

Building self esteem
Your son/daughter is going through negative experience at school, so its
important to build up their self esteem away from school with something they
can make their own like in sports

Using a computer
Its important that your son/daughter can use a computer and it’s “word software”,
this can ease there learning experience. If you can afford it a laptop for school will
see a improvement in learning.

Dyslexic support groups
Join a support group with children with dyslexia, this will give you support, advice
and knowledge from other parents going through what you are. At the same time
allow your child to mix with other dyslexic children (support for them)

Not loosing interest in reading
Its important that your child does not loose interest in reading, allow them to buy
books they enjoy reading or wanting to read. Magazines + newspapers are a
great way to keep reading.

Dyslexia not a disability
Dyslexia is not a disability but a way of thinking. The problem is that your child
is learning in a non dyslexic classroom and education system.

Mind mapping (spider diagrams)
Mid mapping and spider diagrams are a affect way to plan any activity but
very useful for dyslexic student learning because they can see the whole picture.
