Dyslexia and crime

In the UK today, crime is high with the population at fiere of being stabbed or
crime happening against them. But Research from Edinburgh university, showed 80%
of young offenders had traits of dyslexia, so is dyslexia on the big problems not solved
in the UK. Would crime decrease if people could read and write. Yes.

1000’s of children in our education system are never finding out they have dyslexia.
For the simple reason of the government not giving the funding for the schools or
college to test children.

A high percentage of child who fail in schools and get low qualification are found
to be dyslexics. A number of the these children get frustrated in the classroom because
they struggle, they cause problems for the students and the teacher, and they are sent
out of the classroom for bad behaviour. They then leave the school grounds to get away
from learning and the circle of crime starts.

If we look at dyslexia as a problems which can lead to a circle of other problems. Schools
need the funds and resources and the mind frame to understand that dyslexia in the not the
problem, but the system is.

Schools get very little financial help to test children, to test for dyslexia cost £1000, schools
don’t have the money, so they spend it on resources to solve a mass of educational and reading
problems in students.

If a students get tested, they get treated with the resources they need and the specific teaching
they need.

If has been seen many time before, if you have a child who behaviour problem in the classroom
and they are find to have dyslexia, and treated and given the resources to learn. They become a
better student. If we do this in mass of a whole school, the environment will benefit as a whole.
With we look at the country as a whole leading from education, if a child fail and can not get
qualification and struggle with reading and writing. The child will leave school and not get a job,
they will need to be on benefits and a percentage of those people lead to crime.
If we solve this problem in education, we can cut crime, less people needing benefits.
